Great bike for your buck!, June 20, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Schwinn Network 7 Men's Hybrid Bike (700C Wheels) (Sports) This is a great hybrid bike. It's light and fast like a good road bike, and has great tires and gears for rougher terrain. It is a very dark green( the photo makes it look black). It was very easy to assemble, though Schwinn left out the quick release mech for the front tire. They did send it to me quickly though, once I called them up.
I had been riding mountain bikes all my life, so this hybrid was a change for me, and I 'm glad to say that I prefer the hybrid, it's much better for getting around in city areas.There are shocks in the fork and seat that make for a very comfortable ride. The slim body and tires make fast speeds possible without much effort. The rear rack is great for carrying books and bags, if you attach a sack or net. The handle grips are very comfortable, smooth with just enough grip, not too textured like some other bikes.
I use it to commute to work and on bike trails near a local river, where the nicely gripped tires come in handy... Read more

The box did come a little damaged but overall in great shape. there were a couple of scratches on the handle bar tree but nothing I was gonna get grumpy about. I am 6' 4" and this bike is a perfect size for me. The frame is 20", no one one the entire internet has given this valuable information including the schwinn website. So yes if you're very tall this bike will work. There also is plenty more seat bar too for someone taller than me, I would say a 6' 9" person could sit comfortably on this bike. The front suspension is very soft and mine makes a bit of a squeaky noise but I think its going away quickly. I can't hear it over my headphones. The grips are very nice too they have a kinda extension for the bottom half of your palm to rest on, relieving pressure from the top half of your palm. The fenders are plastic and very cheap which is my only real complaint also they don't match the green either they are lighter green than the painted frame... Read more

Awesome Bike, Awful Packaging!, April 30, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Schwinn Network 7 Men's Hybrid Bike (700C Wheels) (Sports) I just received this bike via Amazon. The bike itself is really a bargain! The bike is much better quality than I expected from a Chinese built Schwinn.
I owned Sting Rays when they were built in Chicago. (I'm dating myself) Everything was easy to put together and most of it was assembled. Didn't even need the instructions! Only issue was the fender struts are a little funky the way they mount on the plastic fenders. Twists the fender a little.
Now the bad news...The packaging for this bike is horrible! Unless it is being shipped from your state, I suggest your odds are better in Vegas than it being perfect when it arrives. I mean the bottom of the box...(Which became the top by default) was ripped wide open, both wheel hubs were protruding out the sides and 1 big fist size hole for some UPS reason. (Disgruntled worker?) To my disbelief.....It was all there and in good shape!!!!
